Railroad Spike Knife

Railroad Spike Knife
To create this knife I used a railroad spike. I placed the spike into a very hot forge and heated it up and used a hammer to flatten the edge down that would become the blade. I had to repeat the process many times of putting the knife into the forge to heat up, taking it out and using the hammer to flatten it and then put it back in the forge. After I got the blade to be how I wanted, I heated up the other side of the knife and used a clamp to hold it in place and then twisted it to give it more aesthetic appeal. Then I used a sand belt grinder to make the blade sharper and shiny. Then I used seal to prevent it from rusting.
